  • About Our Camp

This application form is for the chapter of Royal Family Kids' Camp which is sponsored by Northville Christian Assembly and Hilltop Church (Northville RFK). The camp will be held Saturday, July 25th through Wednesday, July 29th, 2026. This is an overnight camp for foster children ages 6*-11. Please be aware that there are other chapters of Royal Family Kids' Camps, sponsored by other churches, with different dates, but the curriculum is the same and children may only attend one Royal Family Kids' Camp per year. We especially would like returning campers to attend the same camp, whenever possible, even if they have moved to a different home. In addition, when appropriate, we would like siblings to attend the same camp, even if they live in different homes. There is no cost to attend. Returning campers will be given priority if we receive more applications than available spots.

*6 year olds may only attend if an older relative will also be at camp.

**This year Brightmoor Church (Novi RFK) will host their own separate camp, August 10th-14th, 2026. If your child previously attended our joint camp, we suggest you apply to the camp whose dates work better for your family. We use the same curriculum, so children may only attend one RFK camp per summer.**

  • Instructions for Completing the Application

This application should be completed by someone authorized to legally sign for the child. At the end of the application a signature will be required for permission to attend the camp, as well as a medical release.

It is very important to fill out the application completely and honestly. We use the information to make the best possible placement of campers into cabin groups and with camp counselors. It is very rare for us to turn away campers because of behavioral issues, (only if we have serious concerns for safety).

This is a link to our Camper Behavior Contract  This is just to provide additional information, you don't need to submit it with the application. It will be included with all invitations to attend camp, at which time you will be required to review it with your camper and sign it.

If you are concerned, please contact me to discuss whether or not we are equipped to give your camper the best possible experience at camp.  I can also put you in contact with one of our behavior specialists, if needed.

All documents and reminders about camp will be sent out via email. Most communications are only sent to the caregivers, however, if a caseworker wishes to receive them as well, please let me know and I will be more than happy to accommodate. Finally, if any changes occur to the information on the application form, please let me know so I can keep the files up-to-date.

  • A note regarding the waitlist:

Our primary focus is on children who are currently in foster care.  Campers who attended in the past, but are no longer in foster care will be placed on a waitlist, and may attend if there is room. It is possible that it may be a last minute opening. Children who are not in foster care, and have never attended RFKC are not eligible to attend.
