The City of St. George is accepting applications from residents interested in serving on the Planning Commission for a four-year term. The Planning Commission reviews land use applications within the City limits and makes recommendations to the City Council regarding approval. The Commission is guided by the General Plan adopted by the City Council, and city code.
The Planning Commission meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month at 5:00 PM. Occasionally the Commission holds work sessions to address topics of specific concern. Regular meetings vary in length, but typically run several hours. Planning Commission members receive information packets on each proposal to be reviewed prior to the meeting.
Interested residents may apply by submitting this application form to Christina Fernandez, City Recorder. Submissions can also be delivered to 175 East 200 North, St. George, Utah 84770. Applications will be accepted until Friday, February 8, 2019, at 5:00 p.m.
