  • An animal in a new environment may have a bathroom accident. Are you prepared to deal with this?

  • Fostering Cats (all foster cats must be indoors only)

  • The duration of fostering can range from 2 to 10 weeks depending on the age and condition of the animals. Please check the length of foster you are willing to commit to:

  • When fostering cats there are a number of options. We ordinarily foster out Queens and kittens, but occasionally we do have others that need foster care. Please check what options you are most comfortable with to help us best suit the needs of you and our cats. 

  • Would you prefer to foster a mom with kittens or a litter of kittens without a mom?
  • How many kittens are you willing to foster? Please check the amount of kittens you are willing to foster.
  • If necessary, are you willing to help socialize kittens who are under socialized?
  • Occasionally not all kittens will survive due to illness or injury. Are you prepared for this if the situation occurs?
  • Fostering cats can be a dirty and time-consuming job. Are you able to ensure that litter boxes are frequently cleaned and sanitized, make special wet food, make sure food is always available and that the environment they live in is clean and tidy at all times?
  • Are you aware there is a risk that you may be exposed to zoonotic diseases (transmissible from animals to humans)?
