The CAAWS Mystic Krewe of Mutts is the largest annual fund-raiser providing much needed funds for CAAWS’ Outreach and Spay & Neuter Programs. This event has become one of Baton Rouge's most beloved family activities with over 14,000 people in attendance last year. All activities and events are held along North Blvd in downtown Baton Rouge. Don’t miss out! You, your school, club, group, or business can join in the fun!
VOLUNTEER: It takes more than 200 enthusiastic volunteers on parade day to help with the events and activities! We need Volunteers on Parade day from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm to that can lift, carry and run errands, pass out information, and help at the Booths and with the contests and parade. We also need help during the last few weeks leading up to parade day to distribute flyers, fill goodie bags, clean equipment, load the trailer, organize beads and throws…and more! The most assistance is needed during the 2 shifts listed below; however, we are flexible - any and all support is welcome and even giving a just few hours is appreciated.
CORPORATE SPONSORS: Your employees can volunteer or you can become a Sponsor. Sponsors receive free booth space and can walk in the parade to promote your organization by donating money, services or items such as T-shirts, goody bag items, contest prizes, postage, printing, supplies, signs, banners, parade throws and more.
SCHOOLS, CLUBS & GROUPS: Your members can come out to earn service hours before and on parade day. We also need Bands and Dance groups to walk in the Parade, so let us know if you want to participate.
Duties are assigned according to your volunteer group:
1. Adult Volunteers/Groups (over 18) will serve as “Directors”
2. Youth Volunteers/Groups will report to Directors for assignments
INDIVIDUALS: We always need extra hands!
PARADE DAY VOLUNTEER INFORMATION:
