For pool openings- pressure gauge, diverting valve, skimmer baskets, pump plugs, site glass, skimmer flap, and salt cell.
For openings (after we start it up) make sure you shock the pool with granular or liquid shock let it run for 24 hours and take a sample to your local pool company for analysis. For openings please have the water level halfway up the skimmer square before we come out and your breaker on in your electric box. For Full Openings, the cover must be free of water and debris or it will be dumped in the pool.
For pool closing-(Plugs,gizzmo,etc)..
For closings make sure you shock by salt machine or granular and algaecide a day or 2 before we come out. Ideally put metal remover a week ahead of closing. (Please read the bottle for instructions). Let it run until we come out and close it down. Never lower pool water below the skimmer. May cause wrinkling of liner and void of warranty. ( For salt pools it's NOT a good idea to leave cover pumps in the pool water all winter long. They will shorten the life of the pump. Just once a month peel back the cover and check the water level on the steps. Make sure the first step from the deck has no water on it.No lower than that.)
