Our internship program is designed to "prepare and send" in conjunction with the overall mission of Brentwood United Methodist Church: "to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world." Even if the ministry is not your final vocational goal, our internship program will help develop missional, personal, and spiritual goals of the interns. Our program provides support and guidance for our students and interns through personal coaching and supervision.
All applicants should love Jesus and want to spend time with students (6th-12th grade). They should be looking to further their relationship with God, have a heart for missions, and a willingness to learn. They will have, at least, finished their freshman year of college (unless applying for Service Learning) and be looking to share the gospel with students.
In order to be eligible for our Summer and School year internship program, you must have a valid driver's license, a way to get to and from BUMC in Brentwood, TN, and a cell phone. It would be helpful, but not necessary, to have access to a computer. Housing and payment will be discussed after the application process.
If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please fill out the application and our staff will get back to you shortly.
