    Below is our online application for employment with the El Dorado Fire Department.  All areas of the application should be completed. 

    Certification is not required for initial employment, but applicants are required to complete all phases of the Civil Service Examination to be considered for employment.

    This online application does not count as a job contact for unemployment services.   Department of Workforce Services will be provided with names of applicants that do not complete all required phases of the Civil Service Examination.

    Applicants for employment with the El Dorado Fire Department must undergo a full Background Check and Substance Abuse Screening (also called “Drug Testing/Screen”) as part of the hiring process as a condition of employment.

    Once employed, the El Dorado Fire Department will provide training in accordance state standards, as outlined by the Arkansas Fire Training Academy (AFTA) and Arkansas Department of Health (ADH). All candidates employed must successfully complete Firefighter I, Firefighter II, and become a licensed Emergency Medical Technician.
