EXTENDED DEADLINE: Saturday, June 1st 2019 at 11:59PM
The Success, Opportunity, and Access in Research Program at University of Rochester (SOAR @Rochester) provides prospective graduate students from underrepresented backgrounds an opportunity to visit campus prior to submitting an application.
A select number of the applicants will be invited to this three-day visit program held September 18-20, 2019. The visit includes round-trip travel, room, and meals – all paid for by the Dean for Diversity in Arts, Sciences & Engineering at the University of Rochester.
The UR is a top-tier research-intensive institution that houses cutting-edge research in a variety of fields. Graduate students work closely with faculty members with many opportunities for interdisciplinary work. In Arts, Sciences & Engineering, all PhD students are fully funded.
Students interested in PhD programs in any of AS&E’s departments should apply to join us for SOAR in September of the year in which they will be applying to the doctoral program. Applications will only be considered from students interested in our Ph.D. programs.
Accepted applicants will join us from September 18th-20th, 2019.
