As you may know, the deans have engaged consultants in restorative practices to work with members of the AS&E community. Since March 2018, they have met with and held multiple restorative conversations and circles with a wide array of faculty members, staff, and students, in multiple departments and within senior university administration.
In March 2019, they will be offering an introductory training in Restorative Practices for the AS&E community, and I encourage your participation. The initial training will introduce the circle process and ways that restorative practices can enhance communication, demonstrate how to use a restorative lens to manage conflict, and provide methods for enhancing collaboration in meetings.
The session is scheduled for the following date and time:
Monday, March 18th from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm in Haven's Lounge, Wilson Commons Rm. 409
