Here at the P.A.W.S. Animal Adoption Center we use positive reinforcement as our way of training. Positive reinforcement involves providing things the animal finds rewarding to encourage positive behaviors. This could include treats, toys, pets, praise, etc. Under no circumstance do we use painful methods or methods that cause an animal to be fearful, and we require that our foster families do the same. This means that you may not use painful methods like jerking or snapping the leash, and no use of choke, pinch, prong, or shock collars.
