“For me, becoming isn’t about arriving somewhere or achieving a certain aim. I see it instead as forward motion, a means of evolving, a way to reach continuously toward a better self.”
-Michelle Obama.
This workshop seeks to explore the intersections of race, gender, and politics, as we enter into a new season of change both personally and structurally in our society. Participants will learn how intersectionality operates to formulate life (macro) and how it operates to formulate our personal journeys (micro) with a specific examination of the political system. Empowerment and change serve as the foundation for the structure of the workshop.
