Who is this form for?

Helpers who have been coming with the Catholic Association on pilgrimage to Lourdes for at least 2 years who would like to join the Hospitalité.

The Catholic Association Hospitalité exists for all those who would like to make a commitment to our Pilgrimage and Lourdes, and its membership is open to doctors, nurses, handmaids, brancardiers and Glanfield helpers.

The main objects of the Hospitalité are:

(i) To assist pilgrims, especially the assisted pilgrims on the CA pilgrimage; and,

(ii) To foster between members a spirit of caring friendship and mutual support; and,

(iii) Above all, to foster the desire to serve Our Lady not only in Lourdes, but also in our own parishes and communities.

A sense of commitment is essential and members are expected to attend the CA pilgrimage on a fairly regular basis. As a result, once an application has been made, if that person does not return to Lourdes for the two subsequent CA pilgrimages, then they must reapply.

It is understood that members will lead edifying lives as recognised by the Catholic Church and to be seen to be practising Christian virtues. Finally members will be expected to uphold in their lives, and to encourage in the lives of others, the objects of the Hospitalité.

On conclusion of their first pilgrimage we welcome helpers to apply for admission to membership. Once a helper's application is approved they will be admitted to the Hospitalité as an Ordinary Member during their next pilgrimage to Lourdes with the CA.

Once a helper has completed two further pilgrimages as an Ordinary Member they can apply for Full Membership. More information on the CA Hospitalité can be found on our website or on notice boards in the Accueil.
