We are accepting applications for this unique, three-part training course, which provides drainage designers, contractors, farmers, farm managers, retailers, drainage commissioners, and conservation practitioners with knowledge and tools to make conservation drainage a strandard part of tile installation and farm management.
Our Summer 2019 trainings will focus on the saturated buffer, constructed wetland, and drainage water management practices. Training sessions will include:
- Expert-led presentations on science behind each practice
- Small group application exercises and hands-on field experiences
- Overviews of conservation practice standards
- In field demonstrations, site visits, and testimonials from real landowners
- Discussions aof the barriers and opportunities to edge-of-field practice adoption
- Practical tips for communicating with landowners about conservation drainage
- Disscussions on economics and cost-share programs.
CEUs will be available for each training session.
