About the student sponsorship
The Saskatchewan Association of Nurse Practitioners (SANP) is sponsoring two (2) students to attend the NP Education Conference on Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4, 2019 in Saskatoon.
Please note that sponsorship only covers the registration to attend the 1.5 day conference only. Sponsorship does not include travel or accommodations.
Note: The successful recipients of the sponsorship are required to:
attend the SANP annual general meeting in the morning of Saturday, May 4, 2019, and
submit a video or photo caturing their experience at the conference (submission can be via email or by posting it on Facebook)
Students interested in attending are encouraged to complete the submission form below.
The deadline to express interest is 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2019.
Selection of the students will be done by random. Selected students will be contacted by the SANP via email by March 15, 2019.
About the conference
The annual Saskatchewan Nurse Practitioners Education Conference is hosted by the Saskatchewan Association of Nurse Practitioners (SANP).
The conference attracts up to 100 nurse practitioners, health care managers, and nurse practitioner students from across Saskatchewan. It is open to NPs, RNs, AAPs, and students interested in advance practice roles. The SANP also holds its AGM during the conference.
This year, the conference will be 1.5 days followed by an optional half day intensive training workshop on Saturday afternoon focusing on "Rethinking Pain Management: Cannabis & Other Strategies."

About the SANP
The SANP is a non-profit, volunteer-run, professional organization that supports and advances the professional interests of its membership nurse practitioners, nurse practitioner students, and nurses who have an interest in the NP practice enabling NPs to provide accessible, efficient and effective healthcare that meets the highest standards of practice across the NP practice. Additionally, they support NP education by sponsoring educational opportunities pertinent to all streams of NP practice in Saskatchewan.
