  • IMPORTANT NOTES REGARDING QBP EVENT BOOKINGS

    This form must be completed a minimum of one week prior to the meeting date.

    If you require alterations to the room set up and/or wall removal, a separate room booking must be scheduled immediately before and after your meeting time. Please contact QBP Reception so they can advise the amount of time needed for the room alterations.  Room configuration and wall removal/replacements can only be altered between 7.30am and 3:00pm.

    The QBP is not a fully serviced conference facility.  We are able to book the facility you require, however we are not able to supply any extras other than those mentioned in this form.
     

    You are responsible for cleaning the room after your meeting/event.  PLEASE REMOVE all papers, food, plates, and general rubbish from the room when your meeting has finished and wash up the crockery you have used.
     

     

     QBP CATERING

    If you require catering for your meeting/event please consider the following options:

    Please indicate date of event, times for food to be delivered, room number, numbers for catering and who to invoice. Please ensure your caterers clean up as necessary during the day and at the conclusion of your event. Please note if external caterers contracted, please see request for catering lifts to be opened in the SECURITY ACCESS POINT section of this form – if applicable.

      

     

    QBP VISITOR CAR PARK REQUESTS            

    QBP Reception maybe able to provide a small number of visitor car parking spaces but this is based on availability. 

    Please send an email to:  qbp-reception@uq.edu.au requesting car parking and include the following information: 

    1. Name of driver
    2. reason for visit to QBP
    3. date(s) and time car park is needed
    4. make and rego number of vehicle. 

    If parking is approved we will email you and let you know. The driver must report to main level reception to obtain a parking permit.

    Please note that parking spaces in the QBP car park are NOT guaranteed.

     

     

    QBP MEETINGS AFTER 5:00PM

    Any events held after 5:00pm where non-QBP employees are in attendance, a Security Guard may be required – a final decision if a Security Guard is needed or not needed is given by the IMB Director - Institute Operations (DIO).

  •  EQUIPMENT COLLECTION

    If needed, the following items are to be collected from Level 2 reception.  Please be sure to return these items to Level 2 reception at the completion of your event.

     

    Auditorium Equipment Box 

    Contains:  Auditorium keys, 2 remote controls, 2 hand held microphones, 2 lapel microphones, 1 laser pointer, 5 computer dongles

    Large Seminar Room Box

    Contains: Remote Control, laser pointer, hand held microphone, lapel                             microphone, 3 computer dongles, power cable for speaker

                   ** needed if using the data projector

    Small Seminar Room Pouch

    Contains: Remote control, computer dongle and laser pointer

                  ** needed if using the data projector

    Multi Media Room Pouch

    Contains: Remote control and laser pointer

                   ** needed if using the data projector

    If you are planning on consuming alcohol for your event, please refer to the Alcohol on campus guidelines for further information to adhere to necessary University approval processes. 

    QBP staff are covered under an annual QBP Blanket Licence.  If you require a copy of the licence please contact the IMB Executive Office on 3346 2110.

    Please ensure your booking includes additional time for the removal and replacement of walls.

    Removal of small seminar room wall only to connect to Auditorium Foyer

    Removal of all walls from both the large and small seminar rooms
