Scooter's Pals is a completely volunteer, non-profit, animal welfare organization. We are dedicated to the rescue and placement of stray, neglected, abused and homeless animals. All the dogs and cats that we rescue are cared for in foster homes — we truly could not do this important work without our wonderful fosters.

We provide each rescued pet with any needed supplies, food, and medical care, which includes a thorough vet exam, vaccinations, spaying/neutering, heart worm test and microchipping prior to their adoption.

We expect you to give your foster dog or cat the time and space to decompress from the shelter experience, and to help the animal become better socialized.

We also expect you to be responsible for the details of the animal's care until adoption — keeping records, ensuring that the animal's needs are met and, equally important, actively working to help that dog or cat to find a safe, loving, good-fit forever home.

As a Scooter's Pals foster, you'll get help when you need it. Your Scooter's Pals Mentor will be your primary contact for day-to-day support. In addition, our Foster Coordinator, certified Trainers, and founder Susan Wallace are available by email or phone to answer questions and offer advice based on their years of experience in animal rescue.

Anyone who wants to foster a dog or cat rescued by Scooter's Pals is required to complete this form and agree to our organization's fostering terms and conditions. The information you provide is safe and secure because because this form is encrypted when you submit it.

Before you submit this application, we urge you to read "Fostering Guidelines – Is Fostering Right for You?" that's available on our website's Resources page. Even though we always need more fosters, our primary concern is the welfare of each animal and that the fostering experience is successful for every pet and foster family.

Scooter's Pals reserves the right to deny any foster application based on answers to this questionnaire, a home check and/or interviews.
