The 2026 Girl Scout Convention is scheduled for July 20–25, 2026 in Washington, D.C. in honor of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the USA. The 57th National Council Session (NCS) is the national business meeting being held during the convention in which delegates from every council across the nation and USA Girl Scouts Overseas meet to discuss, debate, and vote on issues important to the Girl Scout Movement, and elect national leaders for the next triennium.
The delegates whom the council is entitled to elect to the NCS of the United States of America are elected by the members of the council delegate assembly. NCS Delegate applications will be accepted through December 31, 2024 and followed by interviews in February/March 2025. Our slate of delegates and alternates will be elected at the 2025 Annual Meeting.
Applicants must be:
- a United States citizen
- a member of the Girl Scout Movement in the United States
- age 14 years or over (girl/youth member must be 14 years old by July 1, 2026)
- a member of the council for whom she/he/they will be serving as a Delegate
- available to attend the National Council Session July 20 - 25, 2026
If selected, the delegate must commit to:
- participating in delegate training sessions offered by GSNYPENN
- serving a three-year term as a National Council Session (NCS) Delegate
- participating in National Council Session follow up activities
