Tiki Tide Kava Bar serves the highest quality kava, kratom, and herbal elixirs to a wide range of guests from different walks of life. Our purpose is to provide an escape from the world and build our community in an alcohol-free environment.
Kavatenders create the vibe, working quickly and accurately while connecting with guests, increasing sales and completing duties in a positive and proactive manner. This is an active position with ongoing prep, tasks and cleaning in addition to taking care of guests.

KAVATENDER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work well with others, be flexible, follow directions positively, and take initiative to do things without being asked.
Recognize and solve problems, prioritizes, thinks ahead, and works quickly and accurately.
Deliver a consistently high level of guest service, sales, and teamwork.
Create positive experiences by welcoming, interacting and making connections with each guest throughout their visit.
Anticipate guests needs before being asked by reading cues and body language.
Make recommendations and answer questions using product knowledge. Give each guest information on specials, events, loyalty program, and Cause Coin program.
Prepare all beverages using designated serving sizes, recipes and using measuring tools.
Ring in orders promptly after serving, and maintain accurate tabs at all times.
Collect correct cash payments and provide correct change.
Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the shift. Complete cash drawer paperwork.
Fill delivery orders promptly and correctly.
Check ID's to verify age requirement.
Use products, supplies, equipment, and time wisely.
Practice clean as you go and complete sidework to maintain an organized, sanitary and safe kitchen and bar at all times.
Comply with all health, safety and hygiene standards. Maintain a clean appearance. Follow all policies and procedures.
Perform additional duties as requested by management.
KAVATENDER QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Honest in words and actions.
Reliable and on time.
Enjoys making everyone's day better and contributes to building the Tiki Tide tribe.
Experience as a restaurant server required (Served guests at tables).
At least 21 years old.
High school diploma or higher.
Speak, read and write fluently in English.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds, reach and bend frequently, and maintain a standing position throughout shift.
Computer, math and reading skills.
