The City of St. George is accepting applications from residents interested in serving on the Historic Preservation Commission for a four-year term. The Commission reviews historic landmark sites and permits located in the Historic District and makes recommendations to the City Council regarding approval. The Commission is guided by City Ordinances, regarding landmarks sites and the Historic District.
The Historic Preservation Commission meets as needed, but generally once a month at noon. Regular meetings vary in length, but typically run a couple hours. Board members receive information packets on each proposal to be reviewed prior to the meeting.
Interested residents may apply by submitting this application form to the City Recorder. Applications will be accepted until Friday, March 22, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.
