This User Agreement with the Heart of Illinois United Way specifies the terms and conditions for nonprofit organizations and their account/profile managers (aka "users" in reference to this agreement) to access and use of the Heart of Illinois Volunteers portal (volunteer.hoiunitedway.org) and the partner platforms connected to Heart of Illinois Volunteers including, but not limited to:

• Braves Volunteer (volunteer.bradley.edu)
• University of Illinois College of Medicine-Peoria (uicomp.galaxydigital.com)
• SERVE Illinois (serveillinois.galaxydigital.com)

The agreement authorizes an individual staff member from your nonprofit organization or public school, who has attended a training session, to:

• Reply to messages generated by or on behalf of the volunteer portal
• Edit your organization's or school's profile information
• Manage volunteer needs for your organization or school

A separate, signed User Agreement must be submitted for each staff member for whom you wish to grant access for managing your organization's or school's information on volunteer.hoiunitedway.org portal and partner platforms.

Your organization/school account for Heart of Illinois Volunteers (volunteer.hoiunitedway.org) and partner platforms includes the following:

• Reviews and updates these terms and agreements will occur periodically based upon upgrades to the software, site usage, and feedback from account users. When updated, account managers will be sent updated terms and conditions with the implication that account users, organization and schools will continue to comply with the current user agreement unless the organization or school applies in writing to opt-out of hosting an account on the Heart of Illinois Volunteers portal and partner platforms. 
  
  
• Organization and school accounts must at least maintain a profile with a logo, up-to-date contact information, completed description, website link, etc. Organization and school accounts will be reviewed every six (6) months for inactivity; user accounts and organization/school accounts are automatically deactivated after 12 months of inactivity. Heart of Illinois Volunteers will send an email prior to deactivation with the option for the account manager or organization/school to login and update their status. 
  
  
• The Heart of Illinois United Way and its partner platforms do not provide volunteer screening. Each organization is responsible for the volunteer(s) referred to your organization or school through volunteer.hoiunitedway.org or volunteer.bradley.edu. By maintaining a profile, posting volunteer needs, or listing events, your organization or school agrees to hold the Heart of Illinois United Way and its partner platforms harmless from any and all claims, losses, damages, or expenses which you and/or your organization or school may incur or suffer as a result of any action or inaction of any volunteer or event attendee referred through volunteer.hoiunitedway.org or its partner platforms.
  
  
• Accounts on volunteer.hoiunitedway.org and its partner platforms can include waiver forms as part of your managed volunteer needs; organizations and schools are eligible for a reduced cost Sterling Volunteers account for volunteer background checks that integrate into the volunteer platform. Please contact the Heart of Illinois United Way for more information. 
  
  
• Both volunteer.hoiunitedway.org and its partner platforms are offered as a free, public service.
  
  
• As site managers, the Heart of Illinois United Way and its partner platforms, reserve the right to edit or remove your posted content (profile, volunteer needs and events) so your account is in  compliance with the User Agreement, to remove links to third party or external registration sites (see above), and for correction of typos, readability, etc. 
  
  
• While your organization is solely responsible for editing and maintaining your profile, managing volunteer needs and posting community-wide events, both the Heart of Illinois United Way and its partner platforms reserve the right to post and help manage volunteer needs on behalf of your organization, with your involvement, if the volunteer need is being developed and targeted to a specific company, volunteer team, student organization, etc.
  
  
• Volunteer events specific to United Way and its partner platforms (for example United Way Day's of Caring or Bradley University's Service on Saturday) may have additional terms and conditions that your organization or school will need to review and accept when you submit volunteer needs for specified volunteer events or initiatives.
  
  
• The Heart of Illinois United Way and its partner platforms will provide site training, promote your volunteer needs to the community and students, respond to site questions, approve new organizations quarterly, approve profile updates weekly, provide resources to help your organization or school enhance your volunteer engagement practices, and offer tips on how to use the site along with best practices for promoting opportunities, etc.

User Certification and Signature

• I understand and agree to abide by this User Agreement for volunteer.hoiunitedway.org and its partner platforms.  
  
  
• If any of the above specifications are not abided by myself or my organization/school, the Heart of Illinois United Way and/or partner platforms reserve the right restrict access to our user account, edit our profile, and/or remove volunteer needs and events that do not adhere to the above specifications.
  
  
• This user agreement, and any future changes to it, is your contract with Heart of Illinois United Way and its partner portals.  The Heart of Illinois United Way reserves the right to amend this user agreement at any time and will communicate any changes with nonprofit organizations and their users. If a nonprofit organization or its user(s) rejects or does not comply with future amended versions of this user agreement, the Heart of Illinois United Way may terminate access to volunteer.hoiunitedway.org and its partner platforms.
  
  
• My signed agreement remains in effect until written notification is provided by/to the Heart of Illinois United Way in regards to our organization or school no longer complying to current terms of agreement, changes to organization/school staff accounts, and inactivity by account manager(s) and/or organization or school.
