Note: The SOCC Small Project Awards are not grants. Funding will be in the form of an honorarium with a check made payable to the awardee’s institution with provision of a W2 from that institution for this purpose.

Narrative Instructions:
1. 3 pages max, Arial 11 point, single spaced, 1 inch margins
2. Abstract of no more than 250 words.
3. Research plan (background, hypothesis and specific aim(s), succinct description of methods including design, subjects evaluated, procedure, measures/outcomes, power analysis (if applicable) and statistical analysis.
4. Budget/ Justification for funds (For what will they be used? Why are they needed for the project?).
5. Resources: Availability of resources necessary to complete the study.
6. Statement of Investigator (Who will serve as mentor? How this will advance the investigator's career? Is this the first step of a grander, bigger vision?)
