NEMA 6 enclosures are submersible for short amount of time, whereas NEMA 6P enclosures are submersible for an extended time period.

Security note: Most customers decide against any security options because most innocent intruders are believed to be deterred by the amount of time and work it would take to remove all the bolts required to gain access.  Our security option will not maintain a full leak proof system, in that we use four special security bolts in the corners. This is similar to those used on high end automobile wheels.  We will provide you with a security bit, to remove those four fasteners.  Keep in mind that someone could still break the water seal by loosening some or all of the other bolts.

Quantity, Price & Lead Time

All of our enclosures are made to order, so expect standard lead times of 8-10 weeks.  The pricing of the enclosures changes dramtically with order quantity.  This price and quantity relationship is related totally to all of the set-up operations involved in manufacturing small lot sizes.

Please do not expect pricing anywhere similar to a NEMA 4X enclosure, or even a polymer 6P enclosure. These enclosures require substancial skilled manual labor by skilled to manufacture.
