  • Girl Scout Travel

The purpose of the Travel Scholarship is to support girl travel that will enhance a girl’s opportunity to build courage, confidence and character. Girl Scout Travel allows existing girl and adult members to stay involved in travel opportunities, and allows new girl and adult members to take advantage of the Travel Pathway.

The Travel Pathway includes preparation, planning, money-earning activities, and attending the travel opportunity. It is more involved than simply taking a field trip or outing.

    Group Travel
You must have a minimum of five (5) girls to create a grouping large enough to provide experience in self-government and small enough to allow for the development of the individual girl (GSUSA’s Safety Activity Check Points). The travel opportunity requires a minimum of two (2) adults who will attend the travel opportunity.

    Individual Girl Travel
A girl selected for a destination may also apply for a Travel Scholarship.

The Travel Scholarship is available for...
