  • CSU Cincinnati Alumni Chapter Scholarship

    We are delighted that you have expressed interest in receiving a scholarship from the Cincinnati Star Alumni Chapter!
  • PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY

     

    You are eligible for the scholarship if you meet the following criteria:

    • Home address must be in the greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and surrounding areas.
    • GPA of 2.5 or higher
    • Preference given to those who engage in community service

    Instructions:

    1. Complete the FERPA Consent to Release form from the Registrar’s office which gives the chapter permission to confirm your GPA. Regarding the Consent form, please use the following information about the recipient of your records:

      a. Full name (of records recipient) – Cincinnati Alumni Chapter
      b. Relationship (of records recipient) – Scholarship Chairperson
      c. Address (of records recipient) –  csucincyalum@gmail.com
      d. Phone number (of records recipient) – April 513.256.9142

    2. Return the completed FERPA Consent to Release form to the Registrar’s office.

    3. Email the completed scholarship application and completed FERPA Consent to Release form to the CSU Cincinnati Alumni Chapter at: csucincyalum@gmail.com.

    4. Deadline for submission of FERPA Consent to Release form and the completed scholarship application is May 31.

    5. Watch for an email from the Cincinnati Alumni Chapter during the first week of July indicating the status of your application.

  • Using the American Psychological Association format (APA) format, please discuss one of the following topics in five hundred words or less.

    1. Select a controversial issue on college campuses today and provide a solution.
    2. Share why you selected an HBCU and how it will help shape your future.
    3. Discuss an accomplishment, event, or realization.
    4. Reflect on a time that you demonstrated leadership.
    5. Recount a challenging situation. Share any lesson learned through that challenge or setback.
