How to complete this application
This is an online scholarship application and all parts of the application must be completed before the application can be successfully submitted. There is no way to save your work and come back to your entry later, so please ensure you have all parts of the application ready to submit before you begin.
Required sections include:
Official high school transcript sent to JA by your school
Copy of SAT/ACT Scores (must be uploaded into application form or emailed directly to JA)
Cover letter and essay questions typed into online form
Teacher recommendation letter (must be uploaded into application form or emailed directly to JA)
You will be asked to submit a Cover Letter to the Scholarship Committee that will need to be typed into the online form provided. Please include reasons why you should be awarded the scholarship. Be sure to emphasize your accomplishments, courses related to your major, plans for college, and future goals. There is a 500 word limit for the Cover Letter submission.
You will be asked to submit answers to the following three essay questions and your responses will need to be typed into the online form provided. There is a 500 word limit for each response.
What influence has Junior Achievement had on you and your college plans?
Why do you feel it is important to continue your education?
Explain any extenuating circumstances or experiences that you feel are important to the committee for consideration.
Remember to use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling as the level of professionalism used to complete the application is taken into consideration. Proofread your application and essay carefully. Consider writing your cover letter and essay answers in a Word document first then review your response before copying and pasting into this form.
