Thank you for registering to be an online/virtual judge at the 2022 NHD of Contra Costa County Competition.
- The participating students have in most cases have spent 4-5 months in researching, documenting and preparing their projects.
- This event is a qualifying competition for the NHD-California Semi-Finals in May, which leads up to the NHD-National Finals in June.
RESPONSIBILITES
- JUDGE ORIENTATION/TRAINING will be with online videos February 1-17, including the online process and how to use the online NHD rubric.
- PROJECT JUDGING will online February 18-28.
- All judging will be conducted via internet access to projects on the NHD Google Drive and then via a final Zoom meeting with your other judging team members.
- As a member of a judging team, you will individually access student projects via the internet at your office/home and evaluate projects using the NHD online scoring rubric.
- After each judge has evaluated the projects individually, you will meet with your judging team via Zoom to finalize the scoring consensus for each project.
- There will be no student interviews this year due to legal issues.
- Because the number of 2021 student entries is lower than in prior years, you should be prepared to judge in 1-3 different project categories. We will do our best to align your project preferences with the available judging needs.
