Oshkosh Area United Way receives many requests from community members and campaign partners looking for volunteer opportunities. We’d like to connect these volunteers with projects that target the needs of your organization. In order to do this, we’re asking for your help! Below are examples of the different types of volunteer opportunities we hope to provide. Please take some time to think about your organization’s needs and how United Way can help.

Kit Building Projects
We’d like to provide our campaign partner's employees a chance to meet a community need without ever leaving the office by bringing the volunteer opportunities to them! Projects should be educational and interactive experiences that help the volunteers to more deeply understand the issues they are addressing. Below is a list of kits ideas that could benefit your organization.

New Parent: Diaper bags filled with new parent essentials like diapers and wipes
Snack Pack: Healthy snack packs for children and teens throughout our community
Summer Safety: Sunblock, water bottles, lip balm, sunglasses
Dental Hygiene: Toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, mouth wash, stickers, sugar-free gum
First Aid: Band-Aids, antibiotic ointment, hand sanitizer, burn cream, gauze, tape, cotton balls
Personal Hygiene: Brushes, combs, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, disposable razors, shaving cream
Collection drives are an easy and effective way for our campaign partners to get involved in supporting the community. Please think about what items you could benefit from when our partners host a drive.
