We're Building a Global Community-with you!-
at the Ohio Lesbian Festival
The Ohio Lesbian Festival has grown momentously over the past couple of years. There are some wonderful changes coming in 2019 and we look forward to sharing these with you as the festival season approaches.
Nurturing this womyn’s community, and finding new ways for each woman to be a part of that community building, is an important part of the Ohio Lesbian Festival. Clearly, we all value this festival and what it brings into our lives, much more than a vacation – it allows each of us to grow and belong to a womyn’s village of diversity and sharing. The Planning Team was excited by the outpouring of enthusiasm by attendee volunteers last year- so we are taking that a step further!
Last year, for the first time, we asked womyn to sign up for a 2-hour community shift to help out the many crews that keep the fun going throughout the entire Ohio Lesbian Festival. The womyn who stepped up and did one or more two-hour shifts reported enjoying their time being community shift workers. It’s a great way to meet new womyn!!
This year, starting with the special 30th anniversary of OLF, we are hoping that ALL womyn who attend OLF will help us keep costs down and become an integral part of the Festival community by pitching in for a 2-hour shift (more if you’d like). Please indicate below on your ticket order, using 1 and 2, your 1st and 2nd choices for the areas you are most willing to help out for 2 hours. You will choose your shift times after arriving at Festival. Come to the Community Service Tent, sign up for your shift and pick up your festival program then.
We are excited to welcome each of you into this process of working together to build a stronger community and honoring our individual strengths.
