Before applying to become a Student member of CACFT, (formerly CAMFT) please be sure you understand the requirements to become an Associate member, which is the level to which you will apply upon graduation, and for which your training should prepare you.
Please review the coursework requirements on our website and bear in mind that content which indicates understanding of Systemic Practice will be the criteria by which we evaluate courses.
Please complete the Two Step process for completing your application for membership with The Canadian Association for Couple and Family Therapy. If you are eligible for a higher membership categeory in CACFT you cannot apply to be a student member. You will be emailed an invoice soon after your application has been received and accepted so you can complete the final step and pay your CACFT annual membership fee of $50.00
Once you have completed your degree and 150 hours of practicum you are required to move to the Associate member category. There isn’t any fee for transferring from Student Member to Associate Member.
