Hello HPP members! For our Spring community service project, we are collecting clothing items for patients in the Emergency Department at Akron Children’s Hospital. Since 1890, Akron Children's Hospital has been founded on the principle of serving the needs of its community. With over 100,000 emergency room visits per year. This includes children suffering from medical, traumatic or social emergencies.
Sometimes, patients arrive with soiled or torn clothing or require removal of their clothing and need something clean to wear home from the hospital. Occasionally, these children are temporarily unable to return home from the hospital and find themselves leaving only with items provided during their emergency room visit.
Our donations will help these young patients during a difficult or scary time. Also, if you bring a donation to the Children’s Fair on April 13, you will receive a free raffle ticket! Thank you in advance for your help and generosity. See list of needed items below (items must be NEW please).
