To request a new overnight date, please fill out this online application. We can only create a new date for groups of 30+. When finished, click the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the form. Your reservation will be confirmed by e-mail within 10 business days.

We have the perfect overnight program for you!
(All participants must be at least 7 years old. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to hold your reservation. Remember to bring a sleeping bag, pillow, sheet and toothbrush!)

SCOUT/SCHOOL/YOUTH GROUP - $85 Monday-Thursday, $100 Friday-Saturday. This price includes dinner and breakfast in the original Crew's Mess, a Tour of the ship, a shared sleeping space in the original crew's compartments, a Commemorative Patch, and Certificate!
FAMILY/SMALL GROUP - $100 per person for Museum Members/$120 per person for Non-Members. This price includes dinner and breakfast in the original Crew's Mess, a tour of ship spaces, shared sleeping areas in original crew's compartments, and a Commemorative Certificate!
ADULT GROUP - $120 per person. This price includes dinner and breakfast in the original Crew's Mess, a tour of ship spaces, shared sleeping areas in original crew's compartments, and a Commemorative Certificate!

Dates with no event listed may be available but groups must have a minimum of 30 participants to request a new night which does not have a Live Aboard program currently scheduled. Please email overnights@uss-hornet.org for more information.

Terms & Conditions: The following items are due no later than three weeks prior to your overnight: (1) Full payment, (2) Official Roster you receive after submitting your initial deposit, and (3) Proof of Insurance if you are representing an organization (ie: BSA, YMCA, a school). Insurance is included in the price of Family/Small Group Overnights. Organized Adult & Youth Groups must provide a Certificate of Insurance stating that the group is covered by liability insurance in an amount no less than $1,000,000 during their stay. The certificate must name the Aircraft Carrier Hornet Foundation as an additional insured. We reserve the right to cancel your group if we do not have the required items on file by the above due date. Deposits and final payment may be made by check or secure credit card transaction via PayPal. **Deposits & Final payments are non-refundable.** If any cancellation occurs after full payment is received, no refunds will be given. Instead, an alternate date may be selected. Any funds on file after the event due to no-shows or illness will be applied towards the group's next overnight reservation, not the individual. Please be aware that many events take place aboard the USS Hornet Museum and it is possible that a banquet, dance, cocktail reception, or other function may be scheduled during your visit. On such occasions your group's activities will remain separated from the event area, or, in the case of a ship-wide buy out, rescheduled to a mutually agreeable date.

Photo & Video Release: On behalf of all the members of the group listed above, I hereby grant permission to the rights of our image, likeness, and sound of our voices as recorded on audio or video tape without payment or any other consideration. I understand that our images may be edited, copied, exhibited, published, or distributed and waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein our likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of our image or recording. I also understand that this material may be used in diverse education settings, marketing/advertising materials, and the USS Hornet website within an unrestricted geographic area. By accepting these terms, I understand this permission signifies that photographic or video recordings of me may be electronically displayed via the Internet or in the public educational setting. I hereby release any and all claims against any person or organization utilizing this material for educational purposes.

Policy on Headcount Changes: 3 Weeks Prior to Your Event Date – Rosters with accurate headcounts are due 3 weeks prior to your event date. No penalties will be applied if you adjust your headcount up until this point. Within 3 Weeks of Your Event Date – If subtracting from your reservation to lower your group’s headcount within the 3 weeks leading up to your event. There is no additional fee to add guests, provided that space is available. Within 1 Week of Your Event Date – By this time catering and supply orders have been submitted on your group’s behalf. If your headcount changes within the week of your event, you will be charged based on the information below: Adding Guests (if available) – an additional $10.00 per person, Dropping Guests – You will be charged the full amount of your reservation regardless of how many guests drop (Example: If you had reserved 30 spaces but contact us within the week of your event to inform us your actual attendance will only be 15 guests, you will be charged the full amount for your reservation of 30 guests). *If extraordinary circumstances apply, please email us at overnights@uss-hornet.org as soon as possible.

Policy on Late Payments: Before 2 Weeks Prior to Your Event Date – Final payments are due 2 weeks prior to your event date. No penalties will be applied if payment is made on time. We appreciate your organization and timeliness! Within 2 Weeks of Your Event Date – If final payment is made within 2 weeks prior to your program date, a late fee will be applied to your balance based on your group size as demonstrated below: Groups with 40 guests or fewer will be charged $25.00, Groups with 41 or more guests will be charged $50.00. Less than 1 Week Prior to Your Event Date – If final payment is made within 1 week prior to your program date, a late fee will be applied based on your group size as demonstrated below: Groups with 40 guests or fewer will be charged $50.00, Groups with 41 or more guests will be charged $100.00.

Waiver of Liability: This agreement releases the USS Hornet Sea, Air, & Space Museum from all liability relating to injuries that may occur during the overnight Live-Aboard program. By submitting this application on behalf of my group, we agree to hold the USS Hornet Sea, Air, & Space Museum entirely free from any liability, including financial responsibility for injuries incurred, regardless of whether injuries are caused by negligence. I also acknowledge the risks involved in participating in an overnight program aboard a retired historic aircraft carrier. These include but are not limited to injury and death. I confirm that the members of my group are participating voluntarily, and that all risks have been made clear to them. By submitting this application on behalf of my group, I forfeit all right to bring a suit against the USS Hornet Sea, Air, & Space Museum for any reason. I will also make every effort to ensure that all members of my group obey safety precautions as listed in writing and as explained to us verbally. I will ask for clarification when needed. By submitting this application on behalf of my group, I fully understand and agree to the above terms.
