Artist Responsibilities Agreement Harvest Gathering 2019
Plein Air Painting:
LandArt Events does not stamp papers or boards. We expect artists to be honorable and forthright about their painting activities. The majority of any painting submitted as Plein Air to the final show must be completed on site and not from photographic aids. All paintings must be framed in a professional manner.
All paintings that are wet must be labeled as such. (It is preferred that paintings are dry.)
Each artist must have at least two works that are painted entirely Plein Air, in order to exhibit two additional works that are started outside and finished in the studio.
Minimum Exhibition Requirements are 3 paintings from three different locations.
Each artist will be able to display at least 4 paintings.
All paintings must be painted/begun at designated locations and between April and October 2019.
All exhibited paintings must be framed in a professional manner and delivered at the specified time to the exhibition venue.
No sawtooth hangers,
No dinged frames,
No lathing strips.
No screw eyes.
All paintings must be framed and wired.
All paintings must have the proper identification on the back.
If a painting is framed with glass it must have a dust cover.
Any artist failing to exhibit or properly frame their work will not be accepted into any LandArt Events opportunities for one year.
Inventory Sheets must be completed online by Friday, October 11, 2019.
Since painting ends on October 1 - all work should be dry by the exhibition time.
All work exhibited must be for sale.
LandArt Events reserves the right to decide if a painting should not be exhibited.
Artists will wear identity badges and place car signs when asked to. ( these will be given to you on location or mailed)
LIABILITY: While extreme care will be taken with all artwork, LandArtEvents, and Community Arts Center will not be insuring your artwork. Artists are responsible for insuring their work. LandArtEvents and Community Arts Center will not be responsible for works damaged, lost or stolen.
Community Arts Center will process all artwork sales. A 30% commission will be retained (split between hosting organizations Community Arts Center and LandArt Events). Artists receive 70% of the revenue from painting sales. CAC and LandArt Events reserve the right to allow purchasers to remove work from the exhibition upon sales.
PAINTING DATES AND PLACES:
Artists must paint on designated dates at designated locations. Painting opportunities will be scheduled on both weekdays and weekends.
Harvest Gathering Event: October 19, 2019 afternoon - exact time to be determined. Artists are encouraged to attend, one discounted ticket will be available to artists.
