ACPA is searching for the next Chair for the Assessment Task Force. The committment is a three year term - one as elect, one as chair, and one as past chair.

The responsibilities of the Assessment Oversight Committee are to:
- Facilitate the implementation of the Assessment Plan per the plans timeline;
- Assist the Association and entities within the Association to fulfill their roles and responsibilities within the plan, to share the results appropriate, and to utilize the findings to improve their work;
- Prioritize and coordinate Association-wide assessment to mitigate survey fatigue and avoid attempts to assess everything all at one time and/or duplication of collection of assessment data;
- Review and approve requests from entities within the association interested in conducting assessments or research within or on behalf of the Association;
- Provide consultation and review in decisions related to demographic data disaggregation and/or alteration of demographic questions and/or utilization of all open-ended demographic questions on an assessment;
- Review periodically the system for data storage and management to insure that individual identities are protected unless permission is granted by the study participant and to insure that data storage systems comply with any Association policies and best practices for the storage of data;
- Oversee the development of training and assessment development/reporting templates for individuals within the Association implementing components of the Assessment Plan (in collaboration with the Commission for Assessment and Evaluation and the International Office).
