A Resolution is a formal motion by a delegate to the LWVWA Convention, approved for action by the Resolution Committee and adopted by a majority of delegates present at Convention. Adoption of a Resolution provides a strong request for action or specific direction to the LWVWA Board of Directors.
Use this form to submit a Resolution to the Resolutions Committee for consideration no later than the printed deadline in the Convention Agenda (typically Saturday afternoon). Delegates are encouraged to submit resolutions any time prior to Convention.
The Resolution Committee reviews Resolutions to make sure they meet the critiera. Please click here for Resolution criteria. You may consult with the Resolutions Committee prior to the deadline to be sure that Resolution meets form and content requirements.
The Resolutions Committee Chair will announce findings on all submitted resolutions to the Convention at the beginning of the plenary session on Sunday morning.
TIP: You can edit your submission after you submit, but it will be re-emailed to the Resolution Committee Chair every time you submit changes. To cut down on confusing email, we suggest you compose your answers in a Word document and once finalized, copy and paste your answers into this form.
Thank you!
