AOAC INTERNATIONAL maintains various standards development working groups under the Cannabis Analytical Science Program (CASP), which was launched during the AOAC Midyear Meeting in March, 2019. Joining a working group is a fun way to get involved and contribute as a volunteer for AOAC.
Working groups meet by Zoom, at a regular cadence. Working group conference calls will be staggered so that volunteers are able to participate in multiple working groups. Standards these groups have developed so far are publicly available here.
Working group members are not required to be AOAC members. If you are interested in helping AOAC develop standards and methods for cannabinoids testing in consumables, chemical contaminants in cannabis and/or microbial analysis in cannabis, please complete the form below to apply to serve on at least one of the CASP working groups.
Alternatively you can use this form to sign up for the general mailing list and newsletter.
Joining a working group is a commitment. Attendance will be recorded and you will be expected to regularly attend meetings and actively contribute to the group's work. If you are unable to contribute at this level, please select 'mailing list only' below. That way you will still receive the newsletter and all major CASP announcements!
