Disclaimer:

Adoption fees include testing for FeLV (feline leukemia) and FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), and age-appropriate vaccinations. All cats and kittens are spayed/neutered and have been microchipped. Kittens under age 16 weeks are not able to receive all vaccinations prior to adoption. In these cases, it will be THE ADOPTER’S responsibility to have the kitten(s) vaccinated appropriately. All new adopters receive complete health records listing vaccines given and any other treatments provided. PALS urges all new adopters to have their adopted cat(s) seen by their vet within two weeks of adoption, or earlier if vaccines are required, to verify the overall health and condition of their new pet.

PALS reserves the right to refuse to adopt to any person, for any reason. Any person having a history of surrendering, losing, selling, or abusing animals will not be approved for adoption. If the potential adopter falsifies or misrepresents this information in any way, or if proper verification and certification cannot be obtained by PALS, we will decline the application. Please make sure you have considered the financial obligation involved in caring for a feline companion. This includes both routine and emergency veterinary care, food and supplies. Due to these expenses we do not adopt to individuals under the age of 21 or to those without the financial means to support the animal. We may also decline your application for a particular cat if we do not think the cat you are interested in is a good fit with your household.

Adoptions are NOT made on a first-come, first-served basis. PALS reserves the right to choose the most suitable candidate for adoption of a particular cat, taking into account the needs, personality, and temperament of the cat. After you complete this application, follow-up communication is necessary to ensure that the relationship between the cat and the adopter continues to be a good match.

Agreement and Signature

By signing this document, the applicant authorizes PALS Animal Life Savers to contact personal references and veterinarians, and verify home ownership or contact the landlord, to verify that the statements made by the applicant with respect to PALS adoption criteria have been met. Applicants who provide inaccurate or false information on the Adoption Application will not be approved for adoption from PALS.
