You are an Independent Contractor so you are responsible for delivering client items safely. You are responsible for any damage that occurs as well as any liabilities and claims that arise from your performance on the job. This can include claims made by senders for loss damage or theft of items contained on a job. You should have Contractor's Liability Insurance. If you do not have Liability Insurance, please contact us for options on our house plan.
As an Independent Contractor, you are also responsible for filing your own taxes.
John's Delivery Service may seek reimbursement from Contractor for any damages incurred for claims made by senders for loss damage or theft. Contractors are also responsible for any liabilities incurred due to the actions of their Helper/Team.
Contractor agrees that they shall not, without written permission from John's Delivery Service, directly or indirectly, for themselves or on behalf of or in conjunction with any other person, persons, company, partnership, corporation or business venture of any nature outside of John's Delivery Service, solicit the clients and/or persons involved with the clients in any way. Cutting side deals, poaching clients, giving promotional materials other than John's Delivery Service materials is considered a grave breach of this Agreement. John's Delivery Service is putting forth the massive marketing efforts to keep clients funneling through the door. If Contractor or Team breach this Agreement, Contractor and/or Team will be immediately blacklisted from any and all future dealings with John's Delivery Service. This means Contractor and/or Team will no longer benefit from consistent clients and the marketing funnel John's Delivery Service provides. In severe cases of breach such as financial loss or damages to John's Delivery Service occur due to Contractor and/or Team breach of this Agreement, John's Delivery Service will proceed with necessary legal action.
