Your Results: You Have the Desire, But Is It Enough?
You have made the first step to weight loss, which is deciding that you want to lose weight and feeling determined to make it happen. That's an important first step and you should be proud of yourself for wanting to take charge of your health! However, long-term weight loss takes much more than the desire to lose weight. After all, if wanting to lose weight was all that it took to make it happen, everyone would be slim and healthy! In order to lose weight in a healthful and long-term way, you must have the time and energy to plan meals and workouts, focus on yourself, ask for support from friends and family, and be fully committed to permanent lifestyle changes. It's also important to go into a weight-loss plan with the mindset of gaining health, not just shedding pounds to look better. How you look can be a great motivator, but people who tend to lose weight and keep it off for good find other motivators to pull them through as well.
