  • Marriage Registration Requirements

  • Do you understand that you must have an active Christian Ministry in order to be eligible for representation to Solemnize Marriage in Ontario (YSPEO Students will be covered under the YSPEO ministry if needed for a duration of 90 days after which they will be assigned to their own active ministry)*
  • Authorization to solemnize marriage in Ontario is granted as an ADDITION to an active ministry. Do you have an active ministry that is registered in Ontario and can be verified?*
  • Do you understand that you will be accountable to this Religious Body for all aspects of marriage performed by you?*

  • I understand that YSPEO does not provide non-religious, atheist, Jewish, Roman Catholic marriage services, rites or rituals. I understand that if I choose to become Registered to Solemnize Marriage under YSPEO I will not be permitted to perform those marriages.*

  • Membership Obligations

    What being a Member Involves

  • Ok.. so here's where things get really serious. 

    WARNING!! 

    Many commit to everything in this section, then when the time comes, they fail to uphold their commitments. If you commit to these obligations, then you must honor them. Create reminders on your cell phone, calendar, Alexa... whatever helps you remember... AND HONOR THEM. 

    If we cannot account for you to the government, then we will cancel you.

    If you cannot support us.. then we cannot support you.

    As we must account to our government authorities on your behalf, and be fully responsible for your registration activity, we need you to stay on top of this.

    If you don't respond to our emails,  fail to submit your Ministry reports, fail to uphold your obligations, don't post once per month, go against our statement of faith, or perform prohibited marriages.. York St. Peter's won't cancel you.. the government will.

    If you don't take care of your credentials, you'll lose them. 

    This is the same with any other Religious Body in Canada.

  • I understand that YSPEO does not support or provide marriage services to those involved in relationships that are other than natural man to natural woman. I understand that if I choose to become Registered to Solemnize Marriage under YSPEO I will not be permitted to perform those marriages.*
  • I agree that as a Registered Member of York St. Peter's Evangelistic Organization I must complete 2 mandatory Ministry Reports when scheduled (Dec & July) to facilitate accountability to our government authorities.*
  • I agree that as a registered member of York St. Peter's Evangelistic Organization I must participate in 1 scheduled Ordination and 1 scheduled Pulpit Assessment each year.*
  • I agree that as a registered member of York St. Peter's Evangelistic Organization I must contribute a post in our closed Member's Area 1 time per month.*
  • I understand that I must maintain a good standing as a Supporting Member in order to retain credentials for marriage.*
  • I understand that if I do not pass this course successfully that I will have to pay again retake the course*
