Behaviour AgreementBecause the staff of CTP believes it is the right of every participant to have a fair and positive theater experience, it is required that all parents and students abide by the following standards:1. Parents and students are expected to show respect for the artistic team, staff, parents, volunteers and other students.2. No child shall be touched by another child without his or her consent. Physical contact between students, outside of that involving the storyline, is unnecessary and discouraged in this setting.3. Namecalling, profanity, aggressive behavior or violence to any adult or student is not tolerated.4. Students are required to respect all property belonging to other students, parents, CTP/YTP, the theater or practice facility. The repair or replacement of damaged property is the sole responsibility of the child and his or her family.5. Use or possession of any illegal drugs, alcohol, or tobacco is forbidden during CTP/YTP activities.6. Students are expected to dress modestly and appropriately during CTP activities.7. Parents and students are expected to stay in the approved areas while at the theater and practice facilities and are not allowed to leave these areas without prior agreement.8. Students are expected to be silent when they are being directed or instructed by CTP staff.9. If any venue allows food and drink, all waste must be disposed of by those who brought it to the facility. It must look the same or better than it did at the beginning of practice. Water is the only beverage that will be allowed.10. Parents who choose not to stay during practices/performances must be back to collect their child at or before dismissal.11. Each participant’s family is expected to volunteer for at least 9 hours. If you choose not to volunteer you may pay a $190 fee. Families who pay the $120 fee and do not sign up to volunteer four weeks from the start day agree to pay the difference by four weeks from the starting workshop.12. Cast members are responsible for bringing their script to rehearsal and for bringing it home from rehearsal. If a cast member needs another script or vocal CD, a fee will be charged to reorder the missing item.13. A $40 fee will be charged for any lost or unreturned (if required to be returned) scripts or CD’s.14. Cast members are required to practice and memorize their lines/songs or dances at home.15. Cast members who do not abide by these standards will be subject to dismissal at the discretion of the CTP staff.16. All practices are mandatory! Missing any rehearsals may result in your child being cut from a scene, song or dance number or may result in a dismissal from the production. Cast members are allowed no more than two pre-approved conflicts and one sick day. After any missed rehearsal the child and/or parent will need to speak with the staff to learn what was missed.17. Any unexcused absences (absences not expressed as conflicts on your original audition form and not cleared with staff prior to the missed date) may result in a child being dismissed from the production and replaced. **MUST DATES ARE NON-NEGOTIABLE. A single unexcused absence on a must date may result in dismissal. Must dates are two weeks prior to the performances AND performance dates.18. Excessive tardiness may result in a child being dismissed from the production and replaced.19. A $60 processing fee will be retained for any child who chooses not to participate after casting is complete. One week after the initial workshop; refunds will no longer be available.
