Camp Staff Code of Conduct
All staff members and den leaders have the responsibility for the welfare of the campers, offering them a program of worth, education, enjoyment, and for serving as effective role models to instill values of the Scout Oath and Law. As a day camp volunteer supervising Scouts, I accept the following responsibilities:
- I will apply the principles of the Boy Scouts of America.
- I will be responsible to the day camp director.
- I will attend the brief training session appropriate to my position.
- I will read the material provided and familiarize myself with the program, site, and emergency provisions.
- I will never leave my Scouts without adult supervision.
- I will not leave camp until each Scout has been picked-up or turned over to the camp director.
- The council or camp staff will not be responsible for valuables or money brought to camp.
- Staff will arrive no later than 30 minutes before camp begins to prepare for my campers or my station.
