APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Please read Chapter 21, Temporary Uses in the Lehi City Development Code before submitting an application.

An application for a Mobile Food Vendor shall be made to the Zoning Administrator at least 10 days prior to the date of the requested use.

All mobile vendors must comply with the following requirements of the Lehi City Development Code. Please check each item to indicate compliance*

1. Mobile food vendors cannot be parked in a manner that impedes vehicular and pedestrian traffic flow or public safety. A minimum clearance of 15 feet must be kept between the mobile food vendor and any fire hydrants, utility boxes, handicapped ramps or building entrances. The mobile food vendor may not operate on any parking strip or other landscaped area and must be parked on a hard surface such as asphalt, concrete, or a graveled surface.2. Mobile food vendors must be parked a minimum of 150 linear feet from residential property measured along the lot frontages or must provide written notice one week ahead of time to all residential property owners within the 150 foot area.3. Mobile food vendors cannot park within 100 feet from the front door of a restaurant or must have the permission of the business owners within the prohibited area.4. Mobile food vendors must provide written notice to the management of a public park or public facility one week ahead of time in order to operate in or adjacent to such location.5. Mobile food vendors cannot be parked for more than 12 hours in a day at any one location.6. At no time may the mobile food vendor serve food to vehicles in a drive through manner or while the mobile food vendor vehicle is in motion.7. Approval from the Utah County Health Department must be obtained prior to the opening for business.

Should any of the information or representations submitted in connection with this application be incorrect or untrue, I understand that Lehi City may rescind any approval, or take any other legal or appropriate action. I also acknowledge that I have reviewed the applicable sections of the Lehi City Development Code and that items and checklists contained in this application are basic and minimum requirements only and that other rquirements may be imposed that are unique to individual projects or uses. I also agree to allow the Staff, Planning Commission, or City Council or appointed agents of the City to enter the subject proprty to make necessary inspections thereof.

You are now ready to submit your Business License application to Lehi City. This application process (fire inspection, sales tax, payment) must be completed in 30 days. The fee for a Mobile Food Vendor License is $60.00.

Your application will be reviewed by the Planning Department.

Once everything is finalized, you will be contacted to pay the appropriate fees. A Lehi City Business License is valid for one year. Mobile Food Vendor Business license are not renewed each year, but must be re-submitted to the Planning Department for approval each year.
