The mission of the Atlantic Provinces Autism Conference is to disseminate behaviourally-based research and empirically supported practices in the assessment, treatment, and support of individuals with autism spectrum disorders amongst families, practitioners, researchers, and governmental agencies. The mission aims to enrich the quality of life of those with autism spectrum disorders and their families in the Atlantic Provinces.
  • Diversity and Inclusion Policy

The Atlantic Provinces Autism Conference (APAC) encourages diversity and inclusiveness. This means APAC will welcome individuals of different backgrounds, races, nationalities, ethnic groups, sexual orientations, gender identities, social or economic classes, religious or spiritual beliefs, abilities, educational levels, and ages. All attendees and speakers will be expected to respect the differences of other attendees and speakers to promote an atmosphere of inclusiveness. Adopted from the ABAI Diversity Policy.

To aid in promoting inclusiveness and a pleasant conference experience for everyone, attendees and speakers are asked to respect a scent-reduced environment and to be mindful of their noise level at all events. Additionally, all attendees and speakers are asked to follow the recommendations of language use provided by Autism Canada when discussing autism.
