How long will we retain your data?
- The data you have provided will be stored in an electronic file, which can only be accessed by the Pearson project team.
- Any information you provide will be stored for the duration of the study (typically about 2 years). After the research has been published the electronic file containing the information you have provided is securely deleted.
- If you express that you would like to be kept updated about future projects then we will retain your details on a secure electronic file, which can only be accessed by the Pearson project team, until you inform us that you would like them to be removed.
Who has access to your data?
Personal information is only available to the project team members who are located in the country where the product is being developed.
Pearson will not sell your information. Pearson will not share your information with any third party except with any external partner appointed to help us conduct research and with our affiliate companies and contractors involved in the operation and administration of Pearson’s IT infrastructure.
Security and safeguards
Pearson and its affiliate companies will store personal information kept in digital format on secure servers operated by Pearson group companies or by contractors appointed to operate and administer Pearson’s IT infrastructure. Pearson takes appropriate operational and security measures necessary to keep the information secure and requires similar operational and security measures from its contractors.
Your rights in regards to the personal data we collect are:
You have the right to update and correct the personal information we hold about you. You also have the right to request all personal information that Pearson holds, to request restriction of the processing of that data and to request that we delete that data. Where allowed by applicable law there may be an administrative charge for supply of copies of data. You also have the right to object to our continued processing of your personal data. You may also have the right to data portability. If you have a complaint about the way in which Pearson uses your personal information you have the right to complain to Data Privacy Office, Pearson plc - dataprivacy@pearson.com
