  • OTA Traveling Fellowship Application

    The traveling fellowship is offered to create an immersive leadership experience for early-career trauma surgeons who have completed an OTA fellowship. Applicants should have completed their ABOS or FRCCS Board Certification before applying and are eligible until 10 years in practice. Full details of the OTA Traveling Fellowship are available on the OTA website.
  • Before you begin the application, here are some helpful hints:

    • The application includes essay questions, and a requirement to upload 3 letters of recommendation and your CV.
    • Once you begin the application, you must complete it in one sitting. If you have the documents to upload click submit. If you don't have the documents to upload at that time, click submit and send them to markos@ota.org within 2 weeks.

  • Additional requirements:

    You will need 3 letters of recommendation from the following:

    1. Program chair/employer in support of candidate and time commitment
    2. Orthopaedic trauma fellowship program director
    3. Orthopaedic trauma surgeon who can speak for the candidate but was not supervisor/mentor/direct educator

    *Note: recommendation letters do not have to be turned in by 8/30/23 however, you must list the doctor’s name who will provide the letter. Letters can be sent electronically to markos@ota.org twith subject line: Traveling Fellowship Program Recommendation Letter.
