CSA Arts Scholars Scholarship Financial Guidelines
Requests for tuition support far exceed the funds that CSA is able to allocate. With this in mind, it is the goal of the Scholarship Committee to try to reach out and serve the needs of as many students as possible. CSA is able to do this by granting a limited number of scholarships in various amounts. Awarded scholarship amounts are determined by a rubric based on household income, number of individuals living in the household, and funds available. The CSA Arts Scholars will prioritize with need based on up to $100,000.00 annual household income. A copy of the previous year's tax return(s) is required with application to verify income.
Scholarship funds will be applied in equal monthly payments to your CSA account. Scholarships apply to tuition costs only. Class registration fees, private lessons, supplies, costumes, etc. are the sole responsibility of the student/family. Admittance into the CSA scholarship program will be on a first come, first serve basis. There will be a waiting list for those that are not admitted into the program at the start of the academic year.
Letter of Recommendation Requirements
Students must submit one letter of request for scholarship funding stating needs, student’s desire and benefits of the class as well as two (2) letters of recommendation from a nonrelative (may be a pastor, teacher, friend, etc.). All letters must include writer’s name, signature, address, contact number, and relationship to student. All letters and proof of income can be attached digitally below. If you are submitting physical letters or proof of income, please deliver them to CSA before submitting your online application.
A requirement of all CSA Tuition Scholarships is to fulfill a volunteer commitment for CSA or other approved organizations. This is the sole responsibility of the recipient/recipient’s family. You will receive information and communications via phone and/or email for opportunities to meet this requirement. All volunteer hours from pervious year must be complete to be considered.
Awarding of Scholarships
Applicants will be notified by phone once scholarship awards have been determined prior to fall registration dates. All scholarship students and guardian will be required to sign a scholarship award contract before scholarship funds will be applied to accounts. Student accounts must be in good standing to be considered for scholarship awards.
