The Downtown New West BIA is seeking superstar volunteers to be a part of our Friday Fun Family at our Fridays on Front events! Fridays on Front is a street social series that runs for eight consecutive Fridays from July 5th to August 23rd. Last year was a huge success, with an average of 2,500 people per night. This unprecedented turnout could not have been achieved without our amazing staff. Joining our Friday Fun Family is a fantastic way to get involved in the New West community, try a bunch of different food trucks, and meet amazing people.
As a member of our volunteer Friday Fun Family, your job responsibilities will include:
Assisting with on-site installation and removal of tables, tents, barricades, chairs and other event materials on event day.
Sale of drink tokens.
Interacting with attendees in an enthusiastic and engaging manner.
Facilitating the operation of any other ancillary services.
Qualifications:
Energetic, positive and outgoing personality.
Customer service experience is an asset.
Experience in event set up and take down is an asset.
Point of sale and cash handling experience is an asset.
Professional work ethic.
Able to work independently and in a team environment.
Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Age 19+
Serving It Right certification is an asset. (If you do not have Serving It Right certification, we can help facilitate you getting it.)
Available to work on at least 4 Friday evenings (3:30 - 9:30 pm), running from July 5th to August 23rd.
Compensation:
This is a volunteer position, but we value your time and therefore as a Friday Fun Family member, you will receive a $60 honorarium, $10 worth of 'truck bucks' per shift, a Fridays on Front T-shirt and other additional perks & goodies.
