* Be a resident of the State of Michigan (proof of Michigan residency may be requested).
* Be personally invested in and committed to achieving stated training/educational objectives and goal.
* Demonstrate serious intent and ability to complete the education and training for which a scholarship is sought by having a clear plan to accomplish their goals and objectives.
* Be active in the aviation community and contributing to the advancement and promotion of aviation/aerospace.
* Show successful completion of written exam, appropriate to the certificate/rating sought.
* Have completed at approximately 75% of the certificate/rating requirements at the time of application.
* Use the scholarship funds within 6 calendar months from the time the scholarship is awarded.
*If selected for the scholarship, you will be asked to provide proof of readiness to take the checkride (logbook endorsement of CFI). A check for the cost of the checkride up to $1000 made payable to the Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) will be provided to you.
Your application must include an essay of 300-500 words that addresses: your aviation related goals, progress toward those goals, a realistic plan on how to achieve those goals, what you intend to do with your aviation education/training, how you have given back or plan to give back to the greater aviation community, and why a scholarship is important to you. Include any relevant accomplishments, personal characteristics, or experiences that make you uniquely worthy of scholarship consideration.
Application must be submitted by Midnight, January 31, 2026 in order to be considered.
