Membership in the Student Affiliate category is for up to four years or until completion of study period, whichever comes first, but if you are on, for example, an MEng degree or a longer programme, this membership may be extended for the duration. Once you have completed your degree you can upgrade to Associate for which you may use the post-nominals ARAeS after your name to get the professional recognition you deserve, and as your career progresses, you may advance through the successive membership levels.
