Water Is Life Cruise Excursion Passengers, thank for attending our Beading and Ribbon Skirt and Ribbon Shirt classes that took place on the Water Is Life Cruise Excursion. We know that many of you did not finish your projects, so we are offering you an opportunity to attend WAIP's Coffee Klatsch that will be taking place on October 5th, 2025, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM for additional instruction. This event will be held virtually.

Anyone who has tribal affiliation will get the opportunity to enroll in one our cultural classes which will begin this fall. We will tell you more about our cultural classes during the Coffee Klatsch. We hope to see you soon!

This year’s festival & powwow are being presented in loving memory of the Rev. Dr. Akilah Karima. Dr. Akilah, founder of SOF CORE’s Int’l & Culture Festival Expo, passed away on March 16, 2019 from secondary breast cancer (Stage 4 brain cancer). Since her transition, The World Alliance of Indigenous Peoples is working extremely hard to keep her legacy alive. This is why we are asking anyone wishing to assist us in our efforts, to sponsor SOF CORE's Annual Festival EXPO & Native American Intertribal Powwow. Your donations will help us continue to Rev. Dr. Akilah Karima's legacy, raise secondary breast cancer awareness and bring this very dynamic festival to the York, PA community where Akilah grew up. We hope that you will join us at Kiwanis Lake Parks in York, PA on September 12th & 13th, 2020 between 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.M and 6:00 PM, so that we may express our sincere thanks to you through what we know best, live entertainment and fun for the entire family!
